These associations are overseen by the US Dept of Education and accredit entire institutions in the US and around the world.

MSA

Middle States Commission on Higher Education large regional accreditation body overseeing educational institutions in Delaware Washington D.C. Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Puerto Rico, Central America, Europe, and the Middle East.

NEASC

New England Association of Schools and Colleges focuses on educational institutions in Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Vermont, Europe, Africa, Asia, and the Middle East.

NCA

North Central Association of Schools and Colleges is in charge of accrediting educational institutions in Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Navajo Nation, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Dakota, West Virginia, Wisconsin, Wyoming, as well as the international campuses of these programs.

NWCCU

Northwest Association of Schools and Colleges accredits educational institutions in Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, and Washington.

SACS

Southern Association of Schools and Colleges accredits educational institutions in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and Latin and South America.

WASC

Western Association of Schools and Colleges accredits educational institutions in California, Hawaii, East Asia, Guam, American Samoa, Palau, Micronesia, Northern Marianas, Marshall Islands, and other Oceanic and Asian locations.
