Our Bath Spa English Language Programme offers English language support at a variety of levels and duration. Whether you want a short English language Summer course, a General English Language course, a Study Abroad programme or an undergraduate degree course, the flexible Bath Spa English Language programme has something to offer you.
We offer students the opportunity to improve their English language skills in the four areas of listening, speaking, reading and writing.
Foundation Studies with English Language Support:
The Foundation Studies with English Language support prepare students for study at undergraduate level. Each course consists of three components, each component is given at least 7 hrs/wk class time:

Study Abroad at Bath Spa
Bath is a world-famous tourist centre with a rich history, magnificent architecture and the only working hot springs in the UK. From London it takes only 90 minutes by train, and Bristol, Glastonbury and Stonehenge are very close.

Study Abroad Programmes:
You can take either Semester 1 or 2, or both, of the Second Year of your degree as a Study Abroad Programme in Japan, USA or become an ERASMUS/SOCRATES student in another EC European country. You will receive a transfer of your academic credits at the end of the semester or year, this programme facilitates higher education of an international standard and the experience of study abroad.
International Activities.
At Bath Spa University we welcome international students from all over the world who wish to study abroad with us to pursue an International Education of the highest standard. At present, about 5% - 7% of our overall student population is from countries other than the UK.
We are here to assist all our international students with information and advice in their pursuit of higher education. We prepare arrival information for you, so that you get a better idea of what to expect, and we organize some social activities and trips for you once you are here.
Undergraduate Courses for International Students
The UCIS programme is Year 1 of our modular undergraduate programmes, with fully integral study support for each subject. UCIS leads to Year 2 entry into many of our BA/BSc modular courses. At the end of the programme you will recieve a certificate of Higher Education.
