A full calendar of free time activities
Having fun is an essential part of learning. It’s when you’re relaxed that you’re most able to begin using what you’ve learned in class in a natural way. That’s why every EF school has a full-time Activities Director whose job it is to fill your free time with social, cultural and sporting activities. From football tournaments to tennis matches to city sightseeing tours, EF plans something fun for every day of the week.
Every week, EF staff will help you see the best of New Zealand, by organizing visits to nearby places of interest. We offer these excursions at a reduced price so that you can truly enjoy your host culture.
Optional excursions and trips:
- Wellington
- Bay of Islands
- Rotorua
- The Waitomo Caves
Experience the Kiwi Magic
It’s not surprising that New Zealand’s most cosmopolitan city, Auckland, is fast becoming a first choice destination for international students of English. The city snuggles between extinct volcanoes and a stunning yachting marina, earning it the nickname "City of Sails." Mild temperatures and beautiful beaches make all types of watersports possible. Check out the view from atop Mount Eden or the new Sky Tower. After dark, head to Vulcan Lane and High Street for live rock music or jump aboard a harbor cruise for a night of jazz.
Great Teachers make a difference
We know the difference a great teacher makes in language learning. All EF teachers hold specialist teaching qualifications and many have also taught international students over a number of years. Additionally, all are trained to focus and personalize your studies. But what makes EF teachers truly exceptional is that they are hand-selected for their personality, enthusiasm and creativity– and their commitment to see you succeed
