The College of Law's Professional Program is an approved method of practical legal training for Australian and international law graduates seeking admission as a lawyer in Australia. As a College graduate, you can apply for admission in your choice of Victoria, Queensland, New South Wales, Australian Capital Territory or Northern Territory and in all other Australian states by mutual recognition.
Overview
The Professional Program is a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice for those who have completed a Bachelor of Law degree. The Professional Program combines three key Components to provide you with essential, high-quality practical skills:
Coursework Component
- 15 weeks full-time or 30 weeks
- Sydney Campus or Online modes
- Skills sessions available in Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Canberra, Perth, London and Kuala Lumpur.
Work Experience Component
- 15 weeks approved work experience in a common law jurisdiction delivering legal services
Continuing Professional Education Component
- Work Experience Workbook (Self-assessable, reflective materials)
- Online Continuing Legal Education (10 hours of online seminars
